The 41st Schiffahrtsregatta one of the most important events in the maritime industry, took place on August 24, 2024. Over 100 yachts participated in the regatta. Our partner Dr. Maximilian Guth organised the Weiland sailing team. As every year, the race sailed from Schleimünde to Ærøskøbing on the island of Ærø in Denmark. Once there, the participants marched through Ærøskøbing behinda brass band . Afterwards, the results were announced at a joint dinner. The crew of the ship sailing under the flag of Weiland Rechtsanwälte were delighted when it was announced that they had finished second in their group .  Special thanks go to all the sailors sailing with our lawyers Dr. Maximilian Guth and Dr. Sven Claussen and especially to the owner and skipper Holger Henzel for this wonderful day and the great teamwork on board and ashore!

Our partner Dr Maximilian Guth attended the 10th AIDA Europe Conference in Athens and gave a presentation on the topic of "Hull cover for depreciation in value". Dr. Guth also attended the Marine Insurance Greece conference, which was organised on the occasion of Posidonia. But it wasn't all work: The Polygreen Welcome Party at the Beach Club DOT will be fondly remembered.

The traditional Hamburg law firm Weiland is growing with two experienced lateral hires as of January 1st, 2024: Dr Maximilian Guth, LL.M. (Southampton) joins as the fourteenth partner. In addition, Ms Esther Mallach will join Weiland in January 1st,  2024. See also the following press report:
